What does a Warehouse Worker do?

A warehouse worker is responsible for organizing, maintaining and retrieving inventory for shipment that is stored inside a business’s warehouse. Their duties are varied but they require good organizational skills, lifting and moving inventory, as well as keeping detailed records of what is done in and around the warehouse.

Working as a Warehouse Worker
The following responsibilities may be commonly performed by warehouse workers:
Loading and unloading incoming merchandise

Keeping stock organized so it is available for shipment

Keeping the work area of the warehouse clean and organized
Processing orders and keeping records of all incoming and outgoing items

Replenishing stock when it runs low
